Comprehensive Islamic Education
Our Curriculum
At SOBIS (School of Basic Islamic Studies), we offer a thoughtfully designed 8-year educational journey for young Muslims aged 9 to 18. Our curriculum was developed over three decades and continues to evolve with the guidance of respected ulama and scholars.
Delivered in English by specially trained educators, each academic year includes two engaging resources: a bespoke instructional textbook and a dynamic activity book—both created in-house by SOBIS.

More Than a Curriculum
Nurturing faith, growth, and legacy in every learner.
Enriched Learning Experience
While classroom instruction remains central to the SOBIS journey, learning is brought to life through creative and hands-on projects. Students regularly take part in extra-curricular activities such as designing thematic displays, delivering live performances, and hosting public workshops that explore Islamic rites and rituals.
These experiences not only enhance understanding—they build confidence, creativity, and community engagement.
Assessment and Academic Progress
To ensure consistent growth and achievement, SOBIS students are regularly assessed throughout the academic year. Evaluations include end-of-term exams, oral tests, and course assignments—ranging from creative projects for younger learners to thoughtful essays for senior students.
Each component contributes to the student’s final yearly grade, providing a well-rounded picture of their learning and development.
Graduation
Upon successful completion of the eight-year course, students will be invited to attend a celebratory graduation ceremony. This momentous occasion marks the culmination of their dedication and hard work.
Each graduate will receive a certificate and a commemorative trophy as a symbol of their achievement, perseverance, and growth throughout the programme.
