    Where is SOBIS located?

    SOBIS is based in Cardiff, UK, and runs classes on Friday evenings in Cardiff High School.

    What days do classes take place?

    Classes take place once a week on Friday evenings between 6 and 8:30pm at Cardiff High School.

    How much does it cost to attend?

    For information about fees please contact us. Textbooks and activity books are included. 

    How do I enrol my child?

    To enrol, parents must complete an online preregistration form that can be found here. This adds your child to the waiting list.

    What subjects are covered in the curriculum?

    Our 8 year syllabus covers:

    • 5 Pillars – Foundations of faith
    • Islamic History – To connect them to our heritage
    • Tafsir of Quran & Hadith – to introduce them to the primary sources of Islam.
    Do you provide report cards or certificates?

    Students receive progress reports twice a year. The first is given at parents evening midway through the year, and the second at the end of year Awards Ceremony. 

    On completion of the 8 year programme, students will graduate and will receive a certificate and trophy to mark their achievement.

    My child is older, can they complete the 8 year programme faster?

    For students who begin their SOBIS journey as a teenager, we may offer a fast track option that completes the first 3 years of syllabus in 1 year. Please contact us for more information.

    Are there any prerequisites for my child enrolling?

    All students who join SOBIS must be able to read Arabic and must have completed (or in the process of completing) their first reading of the Quran.

    How are assessments conducted?

    Assessments are conducted through termly exams, oral tests and course assignments.
